Parading

The CMRC recognises that many historic bike owners receive great pleasure from parading their bikes rather than racing them competitively. CMRC will endeavour to create space on its program so that significant historic race bikes can complete laps for the enjoyment of owners, riders, and spectators. This is purely for historic race bikes and not for road registered bikes.

These bikes must still comply with all safety and eligibility standards e.g. lock wiring, effective brakes, and passing scrutineering requirements. Its purpose is to get important historic equipment on track but outside a competitive environment. All other competition requirements are required, i.e. knowledge of rules, day or competition licences etc. Bikes will be scrutineered for compliance at each meeting. Parade riders still require all riding equipment such as one-piece leathers, compliant helmet, gloves, boots, and back protector. These will also be scrutineered during gear check.
